This recipe has been a family tradition for many years and the smell of the pumpkin bread in the oven brings memories of baking with my children and the sweet smells of the holidays. Make an extra batch and freeze them to have ready for company.

Pumpkin Bread
A perfect holiday tradition. Make extra loaves and freeze.

  1. 3 C Sugar
  2. 4 eggs, beaten
  3. 1 C melted Butter
  4. 2/3 C water
  5. 2 C pumpkin
  6. 1 tsp Vanilla
  7. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  8. 1 tsp Nutmeg
  9. 2 tsp. Baking Soda
  10. 3 Β½ C Flour
  1. Mix in order given.
  2. Pour in greased & floured loaf pans - either 2 large or 4 small pans or muffin pans lined with paper baking cups.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1+ hour for large pans; 30 minutes for small pans; 20 minutes for large muffins (makes approx 30 muffins).
