ABOUT | OUR STORY
DISCIPLING GIRLS. TRANSFORMING GENERATIONS.

It started with girls.
VESSELS was established in 2013 as a local church club where tween girls would be equipped and discipled by a multi-generational team of women. The response from girls was immediate. The club grew exponentially each year as girls invited more friends to attend.
Girls couldn't wait to come back.
Each week, girls learn about a woman of the Bible to identify what made her unique, how she filled her life (her vessel), and examine whether she allowed God to use her—or not. They also learn practical, apply-it-today wisdom from the women’s stories.
The fast-paced format and highly interactive teaching keep girls engaged and learning through interactive presentations, notecards, crafts, singing, dancing and more.
But something unexpected happened.
What we discovered along the way was that VESSELS isn’t just for tweens. We’ve seen it re-engage all generations of women in churches (from 18–80) who lead and serve as club volunteers. Beyond discipling the girls, VESSELS uniquely engages and encourages women of all ages to grow in their faith with this message: we each have a unique purpose and place in God’s story.
As they study women of the Bible, they say things like:
“My 10-year-old
self is healing from what I’m learning.”

VESSELS gives girls and women the tools and biblical truth they need to build a strong, personal foundation of faith. Based on 2 Corinthians 4:7, we want to show them how to fill their lives (their vessels) with the things of God—the TRUE source of unconditional love, acceptance, value and identity.
When girls understand and have confidence in who God says they are, their lives are forever transformed.
WHAT'S NEXT
THE VISION AHEAD
Our vision is to launch VESSELS clubs in all 50 states so more girls can discover God’s truth about who they are and grow within the support of the local church and intergenerational community.
Whether through launching a club, supporting the ministry or sharing the vision with others, we believe every church has the opportunity to help reach the next generation of girls with Biblical truth, belonging and purpose.
