WHAT HELPS CLUBS THRIVE

Over the years, we’ve found that the healthiest and most sustainable clubs tend to share a few common foundations. These are the benchmarks we typically look for when considering new club locations.

1. Church leadership approval

VESSELS is most impactful when church leadership supports and champions the ministry as part of the larger mission and vision of the church.

3. Interest from approximately 20 girls

We’ve found that around 20 girls is when VESSELS begins to feel like a true club experience — exciting, easy to invite friends into, and easy for girls to belong. From there, healthy growth often happens naturally through girl-to-girl invitation.

2. A team of at least 4 women

VESSELS is designed to be led by a team of women from multiple generations who help create a welcoming culture where girls and women alike feel seen, included, and encouraged. There’s a place for everyone to belong, serve, and grow.

4. Scholarship availability

We ask churches to commit to helping ensure no girl is turned away for financial reasons by making scholarships available for girls and families who may need assistance.

BUILD YOUR TEAM

One of the most important parts of launching a VESSELS club is identifying a club director — someone who can champion the vision, communicate with church leadership, and help lead the club culture and team.

From there, clubs build a multi-generational team of women with different gifts, personalities, and availability. Some women teach, some lead tables, some help with crafts, hospitality, setup, administration, prayer, or encouragement. There’s a place for women of many ages and skillsets to serve and grow alongside girls through VESSELS.

VESSELS clubs are often led by women ranging from ages 18–80, creating a beautiful picture of intergenerational discipleship within the local church.

Because VESSELS overlaps kids ministry, women’s ministry, and outreach, we encourage churches to involve leaders and volunteers from multiple ministry areas rather than placing the full responsibility on one department alone.
